About me
Luis F. Alfonzo is a visual artist born in Caracas, Venezuela, who currently resides in Connecticut, US.
His formal art education started at the Educational Center for the Arts in New Haven, where he was introduced to traditional visual media such as: acrylic and watercolor painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. Luis attended UConn where he was introduced to digital media such as 3D modeling/rendering as well as sound and video manipulation.
Luis is currently working on a series of paintings that ties his bridge engineering career with his visual styles. He is also working a series called Inside-Out, which reflects on the topic of sanity and mental health. Luis prefers painting with oils and acrylics, and working with intaglio printmaking.

Accepted and exhibited in the New Haven Paint & Clay Club (NHP&CC) 124th Annual Juried Exhibition, March 31 - April 25, 2025. "Inside Out: Tomato Soup" was purchased for the Club's permanent collection.
